Cable Positive Announces the Launch of Online Blog
NEW YORK - August 14, 2007
NEW YORK, NY – Cable Positive, the cable and telecommunications industry’s AIDS action organization, will provide a new outlet for not only the cable and HIV/AIDS communities to interact, but the entire world, by launching an online blog. Steve Villano, President & CEO of Cable Positive will be the voice of the new initiative and will provide a new discussion topic at least once a week starting Wednesday, August 15, 2007.
The objective of the blog is to keep readers engaged and informed on the latest news in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Villano brings over 20 years of public service background with him to help meet this objective.
“This is a country with a short attention span,” said Villano. “There is a crisis of the week in the U.S. People here think the AIDS epidemic is coming to an end; we want to correct this misconception. Using new platforms to engage people is the only way to keep the urgency alive in the fight against this disease. We still have a lot of work to do.”
