David is the chairman of Camp Pacific Heartland, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing recreational opportunities through a summer camping program for children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. David has used his passion for the fight against AIDS and his position at MTV Films to make others more aware of the AIDS epidemic and its effect on children. David oversees the day-to-day needs of the camp and is an avid fundraiser. David has used his resources to bring celebrities such as Brandy, David Arquette, and Chris Tucker to come to Camp Pacific Heartland to lend a hand.

David has chosen Camp Pacific Heartland as the recipient of a $1,250 grant made by Cable Positive in honor of his outstanding contribution.
