Bobby Amirshahi, used his passion for the fight against AIDS and his position at Cox Communication to galvanize the talents and resources of the Atlanta cable community in the fight against AIDS. Amirshahi launched the Atlanta chapter of Cable Positive in April 2003. In less than one year, the chapter has held 3 fundraising events responsible for raising more than $25,000. Cable Positive provides half of the proceeds to our local AIDS initiative through AID Atlanta, the Southeast’s largest AIDS services organization, sponsoring education programs to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing comprehensive support and services for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Bobby has chosen Pets Are Loving Support (PALS), a non-profit organization that provides ongoing care and support to pets of Atlanta area persons living with critical illnesses and disabilities including HIV and AIDS, as the recipient of a $2,500 grant made by Cable Positive in honor of his outstanding contributions.
