The 2nd Annual Gutterball

On May 19, AMF Chamblee Lanes was the spot for the sold out 2nd Annual Gutterball presented by A&E Television Networks, Discovery Networks and Tandberg Television. Teams from Cox, Comcast, Turner, Scientific-Atlanta, HBO, Tennis Channel, Corporate Report and the above sponsors representing more than 200 Atlanta cable community professionals who bowled to raise money for Cable Positive and AID Atlanta. A raffle of cable prizes was held and raising $1,300; bringing the grand total raised to $8,000.

The 2nd Annual Gutterball Awards were presented at the end of the evening.

Indulge Yourself!

Cox's Winston Warrior and David Grabert are joined by The Weather Channel's Ann Hart at Indulge Yourself at the ESPN Zone.

More than 40 Atlanta cable industry professionals gathered for a special screening of the season finale of Showtime's Fat Actress to support Cable Positive and AID Atlanta. Held on April 13 at the ESPN Zone in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, the event raised more than $1,100 to suppor the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Celebrating the Holidays

On December 2, 2004 Atlanta cable industry professionals celebrated the holiday season while raising money for Cable Positive at the CTAM/WICT/NAMIC/Cable Positive 2004 Holiday Party. The party was held at On The Border with more than $1,500 raised at the event with an additional $1,000 donated to Cable Positive by the Atlanta Chapter of WICT.

Atlanta-area cable industry employees filled the Red Chair Restaurant and Video Lounge on May 15 to support Cable Positive's Atlanta Chapter launch and inaugural fundraising event: Positively Atlanta, Positively Cable.

Guests were treated to a great night of live entertainment from NBC TODAY Superstar competition winner Dan Gardner, prize drawings, and an open bar.

The event was sponsored by Cox Communications, Scientific-Atlanta, Showtime Networks, Sundance Channel and MTV Networks and featured raffle prize giveaways provided by cable networks. In total, the event raised over $10,000; of which over $3,900 was donated to support AID Atlanta, the Southeast’s largest AIDS service organization. The remaining proceeds benefited Cable Positive’s programs and services.
