Glen Britt and Time Warner Cable to Receive Cable Positive's 2007 Joel A. Berger Memorial Award

NEW YORK, NY — March 8, 2007

Time Warner Cable and its President Glenn Britt will receive the cable industry’s highest honor in AIDS awareness, when Cable Positive – the industry’s AIDS organization – bestows The Joel A. Berger Memorial Award, to Britt and Time Warner Cable on March 6, 2007, at the Marriott Marquis, for their contributions to the fight against HIV/AIDS.  This year’s Cable Positive benefit dinner, titled “Positively Time…” features Dan Rather, legendary journalist and Global Correspondent, HDNet, with musical guest Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave and commemorates Cable Positive’s 15th year of using cable television’s resources to fight AIDS.  

“Glenn Britt continues to elevate the level of Time Warner’s commitment to corporate and social responsibility in the fight against HIV/AIDS,” said Steve Villano, Cable Positive President & CEO.  “All members of the Time Warner family set a superb example of how this industry dedicates its resources to improving communities and the lives of people in them.”

This year, a diverse crowd of VIP’s from in and out of the cable industry join Cable Positive in celebrating Glenn Britt and Time Warner Cable.  Co-chairing the dinner – which is Cable Positive’s single biggest source of revenue – are Betty Cohen, President and CEO, Lifetime Networks, Mark Cuban, Chairman & President, HDNet, Debra L.
