AT&T Broadband's Rob Stoddard Re-elected as President;
Charter's Patty McCaskill and Sundance Channels' Stuart Benson Elected
to Board of Directors
NEW YORK, NY - October 10, 2001
Cable Positive, the national non-profit organization that galvanizes
the cable industry's resources, access and influence in the fight
against HIV/AIDS, elected its 2002 Board of Directors and Executive
Committee effective this month. Members of the Executive Committee
began office on October 1, 2001 and will hold their positions for
one year. Cable Positive's newly elected Board of Directors now
consists of 21 cable industry leaders.
Cable Positive's 2002 Board of Directors Executive Committee is:
AT&T Broadband's Rob Stoddard, President; David Wicks, Cablevision
Systems Corporation, First Vice President; Dennis Mangers, CCTA,
Second Vice President; Meredith Wagner, Lifetime Television, Secretary;
Stuart Benson, Sundance Channel, Treasurer; and Larry Oliver, Cahners
Television Group, Member-at-Large. Benson, Vice President of Finance,
and Patty McCaskill, Vice President of Programming and PPV, are
the newest members elected to Cable Positive's Board of Directors.

Cable Positive Executive Director Steve Villano. "The addition
of both Stuart Benson of Sundance Channel and Patty McCaskil of
Charter Communications deepens Cable Positive's support among networks
and cable systems, Villano said.
After 5 years of dedicated service as Treasurer of Cable Positive's
Board of Directors, Chris Spade, Vice President Business Operations,
Showtime Networks has stepped down. Spade is responsible for keeping
Cable Positive on sound financial footing. "Chris has helped
shepherd Cable Positive's growth from a $150,000 organization with
a few programs to a $1.8 million organization that serves both the
industry and the public with a a wide-range of strong programs,"
said Villano. "Her commitment and professionalism are models
for all of us to follow."
