NEW YORK, NY - December 16, 2003
Cable Positive, the cable and telecommunications industry’s AIDS action organization, has named Bobby Amirshahi, Director of Media Relations, Cox Communications as the 2003 Brad Wojcoski Memorial Award recipient. As part of the honor, Cable Positive will grant $2,500 to Pets Are Loving Support (PALS), a non-profit organization that provides ongoing care and support to pets of Atlanta area persons living with critical illnesses and disabilities including HIV and AIDS.
“Without Bobby's leadership and dedication, the Atlanta chapter of Cable Positive likely would not have formed this year, and it certainly would not have succeeded to the extent it has, said Steve Villano, Cable Positive, President & CEO. “Cable Positive is proud to recognize Bobby for his incredible commitment to the fight against AIDS, his great public service to the Atlanta community. His exemplary work is a tribute to the folks at Cox Communications.”
