NEW YORK, NY - February 13, 2003 Cable Positive, the
cable and telecommunications industry’s AIDS action organization,
has announced the 2nd Annual POP Awards nominees for POP Network
of the Year. The POP Network of the Year category invites cable
industry professionals to cast
their vote from February 13 through February 20 for the cable
network that has most effectively and innovatively promoted HIV/AIDS
awareness, education and prevention through its original programming.
Cable Positive’s 2nd Annual POP Awards presented by TV Guide
recognize and honor exceptional original HIV/AIDS-related cable
network programming.
The POP Network of the Year nominees are:
- A&E
- BET
- Discovery Health Channel
- Lifetime
- MTV
- Showtime
Winners will be announced at Cable Positive’s POP Awards
ceremony on February 25, 2003 in New York at The Supper Club.
Event

Nominees in the POP Celebrity of the Year category will be announced
on February 18, 2003.
