LAUNCH HIV/AIDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
Public Service Announcement and Proceeds Benefit the AIDS Service Center of New York City

The New York Chapter of Cable Positive, the cable and telecommunications industry’s national non-profit AIDS action organization, and Time Warner Cable of New York & New Jersey, today at a benefit fundraiser, unveiled a new public service campaign designed to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and education in New York City. The 30-second spot features the programs and services offered by the AIDS Service Center of New York City (ASC). ASC provides essential services and resources to New Yorkers living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. All proceeds from this fundraising event will go directly towards Cable Positive and its work with the ASC.

Time Warner Cable, a major benefactor of Cable Positive, is whole-heartedly committed to the fight against HIV/AIDS and provides support to Cable Positive to promote HIV/AIDS awareness, education and prevention. Time Warner Cable created and underwrote the production costs for the Cable Positive New York Chapter’s AIDS Service Center PSA, and will provide generous airtime allotment on its cable system in New York City throughout the year.

The New York Chapter of Cable Positive consists of volunteer members from the cable and telecommunications industry and associated businesses. The New York Chapter has forged an alliance with the AIDS Service Center, a multi-service community organization in New York City that helps individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.
