NEW YORK, NY - April 4, 2002
Cable Positive's 2002 Joel A. Berger Honoree, Bill McGorry, Senior
Group Vice President, Reed Group Television, Reed Business Information,
will receive the National Cable & Telecommunications Association
(NCTA) Vanguard Award in the Associates and Affiliates category.
The award recognizes the contributions of equipment manufacturers
and service suppliers to cable industry growth and progress. The
awards will be presented on Tuesday, May 7th at an awards ceremony
and evening reception during Cable 2002 - NCTA's 51st Annual Convention
& International Exposition, which opens May 5, 2002 at the
Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA.
Inaugurated in 1965, the Vanguard Awards are presented to men
and women who excel in both in business and personal commitment
to their colleagues, and who accomplishments merit the recognition
of the entire industry.
