The Night Where HIV/AIDS-related Cable Television is Honored

NEW YORK, NY - June 17, 2004
Cable Positive, the cable and telecommunications industry’s national non-profit AIDS action organization, announced the presenters for the 3rd Annual POP Awards to be held at The Hudson Theater at the Millennium Broadway, located at 144 West 44th Street, between Broadway and Sixth Avenue, in New York City on Tuesday, June 22 from 6 – 9 pm. 

This year’s presenters include:

Brini Maxwell, star of Style’s The Brini Maxwell Show; Graham Norton, star of Comedy Central's upcoming The Graham Norton Effect; Heather Tom, star of ABC’s One Life To Live;

Jordin Ruderman and Scott Sicari, star of Discovery Kids’ Trading Spaces: Boys vs. Girls; noted sexologist Logan Levkoff and Miss Universe 2004 Jennifer Hawkins.

Cable Positive’s POP Awards recognize and honor outstanding HIV/AIDS- related cable television. HBO's Angels in America will receive a Special Jury Award recognizing the program's impact on the public consciousness thus, creating a lasting dialogue on HIV and AIDS.
