CABLE TV HONORED FOR OUTSTANDING HIV/AIDS-RELATED PROGRAMMING
AT CABLE POSITIVE’S 5th ANNUAL POP AWARDS

Cable Positive, the cable industry’s national non-profit HIV/AIDS
action organization, honored cable television for outstanding HIV/AIDS-related
programming last night at their 5th Annual POP Awards. Rainbow
Media was a co-presenter of the awards ceremony, which was held at New
York’s IFC Center in the village.
“It seems appropriate to host the POP Awards here-a program that
encapsulates the heart of the independent spirit by honoring powerful
and informative HIV/AIDS related cable programming that helps educate
viewers through the powerful medium of TV,” said Josh Sapan, President & CEO
of Rainbow Media.
Actress Rosie Perez, Stylist Phillip Bloch, Jason Bellini of CBS News
on LOGO, Natalie Glebova, Miss Universe 2005, Jose Llana of Broadways
25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Regan Hofmann of Poz Magazine
served as presenters at the ceremony that was hosted by Broadway star
Anthony Rapp.
