NEW YORK, NY -
July 20, 2005
Cable Positive, the cable and telecommunications industry’s
AIDS action organization, will utilize one of the cable industry’s
favorite activities – dining out – to raise funds for
the fight against HIV/AIDS during CTAM Summit 05 in Philadelphia
from July 24 – 26, 2005. Four of Philadelphia’s
finest restaurants – Abbraccio Restaurant, Bistro St. Tropez,
Patou and Valanni – will donate a portion of the proceeds
from lunch, dinner and in some places Sunday brunch for Cable Positive
and Action AIDS, Pennsylvania’s largest AIDS service organization
and the chosen organization of Cable Positive’s Philadelphia
Chapter.
Those attending the CTAM Summit or cable industry professionals based
in or near Philadelphia can participate by simply visiting www.cablepositive.org/cablecooks.html and
printing out the web page, downloading the restaurant list or stopping
the Cable Positive booth at CTAM to pick up a form and present this
to their server indicating you are a participant in the Cable Cooks:
Philly Style 2005 dining out event.
To keep the food theme going, Cable Positive will also be selling Cable
Cooks 2: The Inside Dish, the cookbook serving up food, foibles
and fodder from cable industry luminaries. Anyone that purchases
the cookbook during the Summit will be entered into a raffle to receive
two (2) tickets to Cable Positive’s 4th Annual Broadway Benefit – The
25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee presented by NBC Universal
being held on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. The raffle prize
includes two (2) prime theater seats with tickets to the exclusive
after party following the show.
