Tourney Raises $12,000 for the Fight Against HIV and AIDS
NEW YORK, NY - September 20, 2004
A&E is the winner of Cable Positive’s 12th Annual Benefit Softball Tournament held on Sunday, September 19th at DeWitt Clinton Park, 11th Avenue at 54th Street, in New York City raising $12,000 for the cable and telecommunications industry’s national non-profit AIDS action organization.
A&E played in the 12th Annual Tournament against teams from Bravo, Court TV, HBO, Lifetime and Showtime. HBO came in second place after winning the tournament a total of 9 times. HBO came into this year tournament with three consecutive wins under their belt.
To date, Cable Positive’s Annual Benefit Softball Tournament have raised nearly $100,000 for the organizations fight against HIV and AIDS.
