CALLING ALL CABLE ARTISTS

Tagliente is Recognized for Her Leadership in the Community and Her Work in the Fight Against HIV and AIDS in Los Angeles

ATLANTA, GA - September 21, 2005
The Atlanta Chapter of Cable Positive, the cable and telecommunications industry’s AIDS action organization, is searching for donated original works by cable industry artists for the chapter’s 2nd annual art auction fundraiser. A wide variety of works by industry and Atlanta-area artists will be on display and for sale at “Positively Art” on October 20.  Proceeds from the event will go directly to the programs and services of Cable Positive and AID Atlanta, the Southeast’s largest AIDS service organization.

“Positively Art” is supported by the Atlanta Chapter of Cable Positive’s sponsors: The Weather Channel, Turner, Scientific-Atlanta, MTV Networks, Fox Cable Networks and Cox Communications. It will be held at The Red Chair Restaurant and Bar, 550-C Amsterdam Avenue in Midtown Atlanta, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Last year, “Positively Art” raised $12,800 for the two organizations. The chapter is striving to double attendance, art works and proceeds this year.  Anyone interested in contributing their art work to the auction can contact Jeff Perri at 404-847-6580 or jeff.perri@cox.com, or Ann Hart at 770-226-2193 or ahart@weather.com.  Advance tickets are $35 and can be purchased online at www.cablepositive.org/chapter-atl.html. Food and two drink tickets will be included with the admission fee.
