Public Service Announcements

2007-2008 Campaign

Cable Positive continues to use the power of cable television to communicate important messages about HIV and AIDS through public service announcements (PSAs). Since 1992, Cable Positive has provided our cable network and systems partners with PSAs free of charge. Our PSAs have received millions of dollars of pro-bono airtime and support from our partners to ensure that cable television is a leader in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

Our new spots play off the theme “We Have Work To Do” in the battle to stop the spread of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.  They take a different approach than the celebrity testimonial template used in the past.

The PSAs demonstrate that HIV/AIDS is everywhere and can affect anyone by featuring the most credible sources

regarding the disease: those who are infected by it and face the challenges of their status on a daily basis.  These individuals, who generously and candidly share their stories, come from two organizations vital to the HIV/AIDS community: Hope’s Voice and The Actors’ Fund.

Cable Positive is once again making these spots available to cable networks and systems, as well as AIDS service organizations across the country, free of charge. Contact us today to order a DVD.
