212.459.1506 Prior to joining Cable Positive as President and CEO in May 2000, Villano had 16 years of experience in public service and public health, including eight years in the administration of former New York State Governor, Mario M. Cuomo and eight years of experience in major urban medical centers and health systems. Villanohas been published extensively in professional journals, national magazines and daily and weekly newspapers, on a wide range of topics including education, health care, housing, public policy, communications issues, entertainment, film and family, and has written several screenplays. He has been a guest of cable programs across the country to discuss Cable Positive and the cable industry’s fight against HIV/AIDS. Now in his capacity as president & CEO of Cable Positive, Steve brings the best out of his staff. Since he began his tenure as head of the organization eight years ago, Cable Positive’s Annual Benefit Dinner has raised over $1million each year, and the organization has generated educational grants from organizations such as the Motorola Foundation, and developed a direct assistance program to people with AIDS at home and abroad.
Thomas Henning, Senior VP, Programs & Operations In his role as Senior VP, Programs & Operations, Thomas manages the day-to-day functions of Cable Positive as well as the organization’s many outstanding programs. As an experienced leader, award-winning writer, and a veteran of the AIDS service organization Vermont Cares, Thomas welcomes the challenges his role provides him.
Dana Levitt, Director, Industry Affairs Dana started her career in the marketing department of Multichannel News. Her experiences there, and on cable industry trade show floors, have allowed her to engage a majority of the industry’s employees. In her role as Director of Industry Affairs at Cable Positive, Dana is responsible for the creation, support, and management of Cable Positive’s National Chapters and the planning of industry related events like the organization’s highly successful Annual Benefit Dinner.
212.459.1505 After working for The Gay Men’s Health Crisis, Inc. (GMHC) as Grants Manager for eight years, Loly gained the experience and knowledge that made her a valuable asset to Cable Positive. Loly prides herself in maintaining positive, collaborative and constructive relationships with her fellow staff members. Loly has made a smooth transition into her new role as Director of Finance at Cable Positive. Loly manages every aspect of the organization’s finances.
212.459.1504 Jenn has worked in the HIV/AIDS field for the last ten years. She started her professional career at the AIDS Center of Queens County (ACQC). There, sheoversaw the agency’s Street Smart, SISTA, and rapid HIV testing programs. Now in her role as Director of Programs at Cable Positive, Jenn currently oversees the Tony Cox Community Fund and will be an integral part of the Youth AIDS Media Institute (YAMI). Her love of youth and dedication to the fight against this disease quickly made her an indispensable asset to Cable Positive.
Patrice N. Armour, Coordinator, Operations 212.459.1502 Patrice manages the day-to-day operations of Cable Positive’s offices. Her keen eye for detail keeps the organization running smoothly and on course. A native of Oklahoma, Patrice made her way to NYC in 2005 as a chaperone to her younger sisters dance troop and has never left. Her creative spirit and energy has made the Cable Positive office a vibrant workplace.
Max Johnson, Coordinator, Communications 212.459.1605 A self-proclaimed surfer dude, Max rides the waves of media as the Communications Coordinator at Cable Positive. In this capacity Max helps to plan and implement the organization’s communications strategies. He manages all web related content for Cable Positive’s online domain and sends the organization’s electronic newsletter – you may have gotten an E-mail from him last Wednesday.
